Dr. Steven L. Haddad, a nationally and internationally recognized expert on total ankle replacement. He has been performing total ankle replacements for ten years, working with patients undergoing uncomplicated total ankle replacements, and those requiring deformity corrections in conjunction with their ankle replacement. It is his level of expertise which has caught the interest of Wright Medical Technologies, a leader in joint replacement surgery, and owner of the InBone Ankle Replacement System. Wright Medical has asked Dr. Haddad to lead a multi-disciplinary design team whose charge to create unique and innovative ankle replacement prosthesis. The team includes five other orthopaedic surgeons, five medical engineers, and marketing and administrative personnel. The new design is currently in process, with materials testing to begin soon. Dr. Haddad continues to utilize the InBone Ankle Prosthesis, the Agility Ankle Prosthesis (DePuy Orthopaedics), and the Salto-Talaris Ankle Prosthesis (Tornier) in his practice. Each prosthesis is appropriate to address certain pre-existing arthritic conditions and deformities, and thus being able to implant multiple ankle prostheses is important to achieve the best patient outcome. Dr. Haddad will be happy to discuss your options with ankle replacement, as well as your conservative options to managing ankle arthritis, and other established options such as ankle fusion. You the patient will ultimately make the decision on the best road to achieve a satisfactory outcome.

Practice Philosophy
My practice revolves around diagnosis and management of both simple and complex conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Patient education is pivotal to both appropriate expectations and a successful outcome, and it is my goal to ensure that every patient understands their condition. I have worked diligently as a pioneer in ankle replacement technology, though I have equal interest in forefoot and hindfoot reconstruction, trauma, and sports injuries to the foot and ankle.
