I believe in the comprehensive care of my patients. Though your injury may affect a single body area, it impacts your entire life. My goal as your physician is not only to treat your injury, but to help you return to good overall health and quality of life.
Dr. Eric Chehab is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder injuries. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in chemistry. He was selected as a collegiate All-American in rugby during his senior year and continued to play through medical school. Prior to medical school, he taught high school science for four years in Milan, Italy, Washington, DC and Sofia, Bulgaria and coached numerous high school sports teams, including basketball and lacrosse. He attended Stanford University School of Medicine, graduating in 2000. After completing internship at the University of California San Francisco in 2001, he received residency training in orthopaedic surgery at The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, the #2-ranked orthopaedic hospital in the country according to U.S. News and World Report. Following this training, he remained at HSS for fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He is excited to be a part of IBJI and to locate in the Chicago area with his wife, an Evanston native and a pediatrician, and two children.
